About this product
The ASICS Sonicblast is a men's road running shoe built for fast-paced training, combining high cushioning with a neutral support profile. At 256g (9oz) and an 8mm heel drop, it sits in a performance-oriented sweet spot between lightweight responsiveness and underfoot comfort. The midsole pairs FF Turbo Squared foam, which delivers an energised and springy feel, with FF Blast Max foam for smoother transitions at speed. An Astro Plate runs through the construction to encourage forward propulsion without sacrificing comfort underfoot. The Asicsgrip outsole provides reliable traction and control on road surfaces. An engineered jacquard mesh upper promotes breathability to help keep feet cool during hard efforts, while a gusseted tongue wing fit system locks down the midfoot and prevents tongue movement. The upper incorporates recycled plastic, and the sock liner was produced using reduced water consumption and lower carbon emissions. Available in Arctic Blue and Grey Blue, and reported by customers to fit true to size.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the ASICS Sonicblast for its bouncy, lively ride powered by the dual-layer FF Turbo Squared and FF Blast Max midsole, with the Pebax Astroplate adding a noticeable snap that makes the shoe come alive at tempo and uptempo paces. The breathable jacquard mesh upper, true-to-size fit, and grippy outsole also earn frequent compliments. The most common criticism is that the shoe falls short of being a true super shoe, with some experts finding the plate adds stiffness more than propulsion, making transitions feel clunky at easy paces. Durability concerns and a narrow forefoot are also recurring complaints among everyday users.
