About this product
The Columbia Youth's Peakfreak Rush Waterproof Shoe is a trail-ready hiker designed for young outdoor enthusiasts tackling wet and varied terrain. Omni-Tech waterproofing uses multi-layered breathable materials to repel rain while releasing excess heat, earning solid ratings for both breathability and rain protection. The mesh upper is reinforced with a leather midfoot structure, and a heel and toe cap add extra durability where it counts most. Columbia's Navic Fit System uses a lace-webbing design to lock the heel in place, providing a secure, stable fit on the trail. Underfoot, a TechLite midsole delivers lightweight cushioning and impact absorption, while the TechLite Eco insole incorporates 20% recycled content. The Omni-Grip rubber outsole features a non-marking compound and an adaptive tread pattern suited to both wet and dry surfaces. Each shoe weighs approximately 7.3 oz (208 g) in Big Kids' size 1Y, keeping the overall package light for all-day hiking comfort.
