About this product
The Dynafit Tigard 130 is a unisex freeride-oriented ski touring boot built for downhill-focused athletes who demand performance both on and off piste. Its Grilamid shell and spoiler are paired with a carbon-fiber-loaded Grilamid cuff, delivering a progressive flex index of 130 with high rigidity and direct power transfer. The overlap construction wraps the foot precisely, while the patented HOJI Lock system merges the cuff and shell into a single interlocking unit, eliminating play and sharpening response. A 101 mm last width accommodates a medium-to-wide foot, and four micro-adjustable buckles combined with a Power Strap secure the fit. The ski-walk mechanism, operated with one hand via a cable-linked buckle and strap, provides 70 degrees of cuff rotation for comfortable uphill travel. Forward lean is adjustable between 12 and 15 degrees, with a release position for walking. The Dynafitter 15 liner and Gripwalk sole round out the package. At 1,550 g per boot, the Tigard 130 is compatible with tech, alpine, and frame bindings.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Dynafit Tigard 130 as a category-defining hybrid boot that avoids the usual resort-versus-backcountry compromises. It earns strong marks for downhill performance, with power transfer described as instant and the 130 flex feeling progressive but unforgiving on demanding terrain. The 70-degree walk-mode range of motion is widely called the best in its class, and the Hoji Lock mechanism draws praise for fast, single-lever transitions and a very secure ski-mode lockout. The warm, thick liner is also a recurring highlight. The most common criticisms involve fit (the high-volume last can be tricky for narrow or low-volume feet) and the stock foam liner, which many users consider adequate but worth upgrading. A few testers note that switching between walk and ski mode has an initial learning curve.
