About this product
The Ortovox Ravine 32 S is a lightweight technical freeriding backpack built for demanding skiers who need fast, efficient access to gear without stopping. A standout feature is the ability to stow or retrieve equipment on the move without removing the pack. A quick-attach parallel ski fastener with carabiner allows even wide freeride skis to be secured in a single motion for short carry sections. A dedicated base compartment keeps crampons and ice crampons accessible at all times, while a separate safety compartment provides rapid access to emergency gear and a light ice axe. The main compartment opens from both the top and the side for flexible access. Standard attachment points accommodate skis, poles, rope, a helmet, and ice screws, and the pack also includes a map compartment and hydration system compatibility. The Ergonomic Full Contact Light Back System distributes load evenly along the spine, and an interior pocket accepts the separately sold Clasp Spine Protector, which meets motorcycle safety certification standards. The pack is fully PFC-free and constructed from recycled polyamide produced through a climate-neutral process.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Ortovox Ravine 32 S for its lightweight, minimalist build and thoughtful on-the-go access, noting that gear can be stowed or retrieved without removing the pack. The quick-attach parallel ski fastener, dedicated safety compartment, and crampon storage at the base are frequently highlighted as standout functional features. The ergonomic Full Contact Light back system earns strong marks for keeping the load stable and close to the body on descents, and the 420D Cordura construction is seen as a durable, well-balanced choice. The most common criticism is fit-related: the hip belt placement can feel off for some body types, and the plastic hip belt buckles are noted as a durability concern by some users who would prefer metal hardware.
