About this product
The Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 is a men's performance running shoe built for speed days and race days, available in a Lapis Navy colorway. At its core is PWRRUN PB foam, an energy-efficient compound designed to return energy with each footstrike for a responsive, snappy ride. A winged nylon plate provides torsional rigidity while allowing forefoot flexibility, and Speedroll technology encourages a natural forward rolling motion that keeps your stride feeling effortless. A full-length longitudinal groove runs along the outsole to promote smooth gait transitions and added flexibility underfoot. The engineered mesh upper is lightweight and breathable, suited for both training and race use. The shoe carries an 8mm heel-to-toe offset with a 36mm heel stack and 28mm forefoot stack, and features an SRS sockliner for comfort. Saucony sizes this model true to size, and the construction is vegan-friendly and incorporates recycled materials.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 for its impressive versatility, handling everything from easy recovery runs to tempo workouts and races with equal confidence. The PWRRUN PB foam earns frequent acclaim for its energetic, bouncy feel and strong energy return, while the nylon plate adds snappiness and stability without excessive stiffness. The redesigned upper is widely celebrated as lighter, more breathable, and more secure than previous versions, with a roomier toe box that fits true to size. The most common criticisms center on the firmer forefoot feel, which some find harsh on longer or slower efforts, and the fact that the shoe is not a true super shoe for those chasing race-day personal bests. A recurring concern among users is that the midsole loses its pop over time, and several reviewers note the incremental price increase makes the upgrade feel modest compared to the Speed 4.
