About this product
The Scarpa Golden Gate ATR 2 is a women's neutral trail running shoe built for mixed terrain, including road and off-road use. Its seamless, sock-like mesh upper uses EXO construction alongside bio-based printed reinforcement for structure and support, while the SOCK-FIT system delivers a snug midfoot wrap. The dual-density Bounce Foam midsole provides lightweight shock absorption with solid energy return, and a rockered forefoot combined with EVA channels underfoot promotes an efficient stride. Underfoot cushioning measures 24 to 28mm with a 4mm heel-to-toe drop, and the shoe weighs 430g. The Presa outsole pairs SuperGum rubber with IKS technology to grip slippery and loose surfaces while absorbing trail impacts. A removable insole, lace-up closure, and breathable synthetic mesh upper round out the package. The upper is made with recycled materials, and the shoe is manufactured in Vietnam. Colorway is Velvet Rose/Bright Green.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Scarpa Golden Gate ATR 2 Women's as an excellent road-to-trail hybrid, highlighting its lightweight feel, responsive Bounce Foam cushioning, and strong traction on dry, firm, and rocky terrain. The EXO upper construction earns repeated credit for providing lateral stability and a secure, sock-like fit. Many users appreciate its versatility as a single-shoe option for mixed-surface running and travel. The most common criticisms center on wet-condition grip, which reviewers find underwhelming, and the tongue or lacing system creating pressure on the top of the foot for some wearers. Sizing can run slightly inconsistent, and a few note the mesh upper and outsole show wear faster than expected on sharp terrain.
