About this product

The Fire Maple Star X2 is a compact backpacking cooking system designed around efficiency and convenience. An integrated heat exchanger paired with an enclosed burner channels heat directly into the 1-liter pot, bringing 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) to a boil in 1 minute 42 seconds under test conditions. A built-in piezo igniter eliminates the need to carry a separate lighter for everyday use. The locking stainless steel handle keeps the pot firmly attached to the burner assembly, allowing for controlled lifting and pouring. When packing up, the burner, pot support, canister stand, and most standard 220 to 230 g (7.8 to 8.1 oz) canisters all nest inside the pot for a tidy, space-saving carry. A fuel valve provides straightforward heat adjustment from a rolling boil down to a gentler flame for one-pot cooking. An included stainless steel pot support also allows the burner to be used with other compatible compact pots and small pans. The system comes in green.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the Fire Maple Star X2 for its excellent wind resistance, fast boil times, and outstanding value compared to premium competitors like Jetboil. The heat exchanger design and self-contained nesting system (burner, pot stand, and canister all pack inside the 1-liter pot) are frequently highlighted as standout features. The piezo igniter and simmer control are well regarded for real-meal cooking versatility. The most common criticism is that the system sits on the heavier end for integrated stoves. Some reviewers note the piezo igniter can be unreliable in extreme cold or high altitude, and a few users report minor durability issues with the lid clasp.
