The Merrell Women's Speed Strike 2 Mid Waterproof Boot (model J038522) blends the protective coverage of a traditional hiking boot with a lighter, more athletic profile. The upper is constructed from waterproof suede and full-grain leather, backed by a waterproof membrane that blocks moisture while still allowing vapor to escape, keeping feet dry on wet terrain. A padded collar and bellows tongue add comfort and help seal out trail debris, while metallic hardware gives the boot a refined finish. Underfoot, a lightweight EVA foam midsole delivers cushioning and stability, and a removable EVA foam footbed with a mesh cover adds further comfort. The rubber outsole provides reliable grip across varied surfaces. Sustainability is woven throughout the design: the laces, webbing, and breathable mesh lining are made from 100% recycled materials, and the footbed cover and foam footbed each incorporate 50% recycled content.
