About this product

The Quechua Abri 2 Secondes is a compact, self-supporting pop-up shelter designed for hiking and camping use. It deploys instantly and, once erected, can be repositioned with ease. The interior comfortably accommodates one adult or two children, covering more than 1 square metre of floor space. When folded, it collapses into a disc measuring 56 cm in diameter and comes with a carry strap for transport. Wind resistance has been laboratory-tested up to 40 km/h, making it suitable for light outdoor conditions. The shelter offers protection from light rain, though its seams are not sealed, so it is not fully waterproof. A wide opening promotes airflow and ventilation, and the fabric filters UV rays at a UPF 20 rating, providing a moderate level of sun protection. Note that it is not constructed with a dedicated heat-reducing fabric. Overall, this shelter strikes a practical balance between portability, quick setup, and basic weather protection for short outdoor outings.

What people are saying

Reviewers consistently praise the QUECHUA Abri 2 Secondes for its near-instant pop-up setup, which genuinely deploys in seconds with no tools or assembly required, making it a favorite for car camping, festivals, and beach use. The waterproofing, sealed seams, and sun protection (UPF 50+) are frequently highlighted as strong points for the price. Value for money is a recurring theme, with most users agreeing it punches above its weight. The most common criticisms are its bulky, circular packed shape, which makes transport and storage awkward, and limited interior space that feels tight for two adults. Ventilation on hot days is also flagged as a weakness. Folding it back down has a learning curve, and some long-term users report the internal coating degrading over time.
