About this product

The Cotopaxi Women's Rayu Rain Parka is a fully waterproof extended-length rain shell designed to keep out spring showers while remaining comfortable to wear. The outer shell is constructed from 100% recycled polyester with a DWR finish and a 2-layer TPU laminate at 137gsm, while the interior features a 100% recycled polyester mesh lining (75gsm) that supports breathability. All seams are fully sealed for reliable moisture protection. The longer cut provides extra coverage, and a shaped hem allows for natural movement. An adjustable hood and elastic cuffs help seal out the elements, while a center-front zipper with a hook-and-loop storm flap makes for quick, secure closure. Drop-in pockets with zippered closures and covered flaps keep essentials dry and accessible. Available in the Everglade/Tide Pool colorway, this parka earns a strong rain protection rating of 4 out of 5, with a breathability and durability rating of 3 out of 5.

What people are saying

The Cotopaxi Women's Rayu Rain Parka has a small but mixed reception so far. Reviewers consistently praise its surprisingly comfortable mesh interior, noting it feels softer and less clammy than typical 2.5-layer shells. Its extended parka length, adjustable hood, and multiple pockets are also appreciated for urban commuting and travel. The most common criticism is that the design runs heavier and less breathable than thinner competitors, making it a poor choice for high-output activities. Some testers also flag that it is best suited for light rain and casual use rather than sustained downpours, where its waterproofing can fall short of pricier alternatives.
