About this product
The Houdini RollerCoaster Pants are a women's 3-layer waterproof-breathable hardshell built for backcountry skiing, snow and ice climbing, and winter expedition camping. The face fabric is a Durable Loop Hardshell ripstop polyester with 70% recycled content, backed by Houdini's Atmos membrane, which delivers a 20,000mm waterproof rating and 20,000g/m2/24h breathability. Fully taped seams and a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish reinforce weather protection, while the windproof construction keeps cold air out. Three-quarter-length leg zips with storm flaps provide ventilation when output is high, and waterproof zippers maintain integrity throughout. Thigh pockets are positioned for harness compatibility, and the design also includes two side zippered pockets plus one internal zippered pocket. Schoeller-reinforced kick patches guard against crampon and edge damage, and integrated gaiters layer securely over boots. Suspenders offer a secure, adjustable fit. Weighing 574g and made in Estonia from Bluesign-certified materials, the pants can be returned to Houdini for recycling at end of life. Available in Beaker Pink.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Houdini RollerCoaster Pants for their exceptional freedom of movement, crediting the Made-to-Move draping construction for a fit that feels unrestricted even during demanding activities like ski touring and mountaineering. The lightweight, stretchy, and notably silent Loop Hardshell fabric earns repeated compliments, as does the reliable waterproofing and breathability. The bib design and adjustable suspenders are well regarded for coverage and comfort. The most common criticisms center on the minimalist pocket placement, with reviewers noting the thigh pockets sit awkwardly far to the side and are difficult to operate with gloves on. The snug fit and premium price point are also recurring concerns.
