About this product
The Houdini RollerCoaster Pants are a women's hardshell built for backcountry skiing, snow and ice climbing, and winter expedition camping. Constructed with a 3-layer Atmos waterproof-breathable membrane, the face fabric is a Durable Loop Hardshell ripstop polyester with 70% recycled content, backed by a polyester lining and certified as a Bluesign product. The fabric carries a 20,000mm waterproof rating and an active breathability rating of 20,000g per square meter per 24 hours, with fully taped seams and a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish providing comprehensive weather protection. Three-quarter-length leg zips with storm flaps allow effective heat venting during high-output activity, while waterproof zippers maintain the shell's integrity. Thigh pockets are positioned for harness compatibility, and one internal zippered pocket adds secure storage. Schoeller-reinforced kick patches guard against crampon and edge damage, and integrated gaiters layer over boots to seal out snow. The pants weigh 574g and are made in Estonia. At end of life, they can be returned to Houdini for recycling.
