About this product
The Norrøna Men's Falketind Gore-Tex Jacket is a shell designed for all-year mountaineering and general outdoor pursuits, from trekking to ski touring. Built with a Gore-Tex membrane featuring ePE technology, it earns top marks for both rain protection and breathability, with fully taped seams using a slim 13 mm Gore-Tex tape for thorough weatherproofing. The main fabric is recycled nylon, keeping the construction lightweight and windproof. An asymmetrical cut with a longer back improves coverage during active movement, while articulated elbows and asymmetrical Velcro-adjustable cuffs support a full range of motion. The climbing helmet-compatible storm hood adjusts with one hand, and a soft brushed chin guard adds comfort at the collar. Ventilation comes via X-shaped side zips, all hardware sourced from YKK with water-resistant laminated zippers throughout. Additional details include a one-hand hem adjustment, a laminated hem, center pockets, an external hanger loop, and a reflective logo. Available in Caviar Black.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Norrøna Falketind Gore-Tex Jacket for its excellent mobility, tailored technical fit, and impressive breathability. The Gore-Tex membrane reliably keeps out wind and rain, and the thoughtful details, including a helmet-compatible hood, mid-mounted harness-friendly pockets, asymmetric cuffs, and generously sized pit zips, earn repeated compliments from both expert and user reviewers. Its relatively low weight for a full 3-layer hardshell is also a recurring highlight. The most common criticisms center on the high price point, the slim fit leaving limited room for thick mid-layers, and a shorter hem that can ride up under a climbing harness. Several reviewers also note that the DWR finish wears off faster than on burlier shells, and that the jacket is not suited for sustained severe winter storms.
