About this product
The Patagonia Nano-Air Light Hybrid Jacket is built for high-exertion cool-weather activity, combining warmth and breathability in a slim, low-bulk package. The 1.6-oz 30-denier 100% recycled polyester shadow ripstop shell and lining deliver four-way stretch and air permeability, finished with a PFC-free DWR coating for light moisture resistance. Inside, 40g FullRange insulation (93% recycled polyester) adds warmth without sacrificing mobility or airflow. R1 Air knit-fleece panels on the backs of the arms, sides, and lower back use hollow-core yarns in a zigzag construction that wicks moisture and dries quickly, earning a top breathability rating of 5 out of 5. Articulated patterning and quilting keep the profile trim for layering, while a center-front zipper with a chin garage and two harness-compatible handwarmer pockets with invisible zippers round out the functional details. Partially elasticized cuffs minimize water absorption. The contrast panels are Bluesign approved, and the jacket is Fair Trade Certified sewn. Fits true to size.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Patagonia Nano-Air Light Hybrid Jacket as one of the most breathable active insulation pieces available, thanks to its hybrid construction combining 40g FullRange synthetic insulation on the front with highly breathable R1 Air fleece panels on the back, sides, and underarms. Its exceptional stretch, comfortable fit, and moisture-wicking performance during high-output activities like hiking, ski touring, and climbing earn widespread acclaim. The most common criticisms are its limited warmth at rest or in cold static conditions, poor weather resistance (the fleece panels absorb moisture readily), and a price point many find steep. It does not stuff into its own pocket, and some reviewers note the hood fit could be improved. Most agree it works best as part of a layering system rather than a standalone outer layer.
