About this product
The Smith Bobcat is a cycling-focused sunglass designed for small to medium face shapes while delivering large coverage across a 5 base lens curvature. The lenses use Smith's ChromaPop technology, which optimizes color differentiation and sharpens clarity to help riders read terrain and trail conditions more accurately. The package includes a ChromaPop Bright Light lens installed at purchase along with an interchangeable clear lens, and the Bobcat's interchangeable lens system makes swapping between the two straightforward. Frames are built with Smith's Evolve eco-frame construction, an injected-polymer material that incorporates 53% bio-based content. Auto-lock hinges hold the frame open for one-handed on and off, while strategic venting channels airflow to reduce fogging during high-output efforts. Hydrophilic Megol nose and temple pads grip the skin more firmly as moisture increases, and two-position adjustable nose pads allow a personalized fit. A hard case and microfiber bag are included.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Smith Bobcat for its exceptional lightweight comfort, with many noting you barely feel them during long rides. The ChromaPop lens earns high marks for contrast, clarity, and color accuracy across varying light conditions, and the full wraparound shield provides excellent coverage from wind, debris, and mud. The Megol nose pads and temple grips are frequently called out for keeping the glasses firmly in place even on rough terrain. The fit is widely appreciated by riders with smaller or narrower faces, filling a gap in the market for full-coverage cycling eyewear. The most common criticisms are the premium price point and the somewhat difficult lens swap process, which requires notable force. A few reviewers also note the tinted lens can be limiting in heavily shaded or forested riding conditions, making the included clear bonus lens a welcome addition.
