The North Face Tadpole SL 2 is a three-season, two-person tent from the Trailcrusher Collection, built around a hybrid single-wall and double-wall construction using waterproof, breathable nylon. The single-wall approach uses roughly half the fabric of a conventional tent, reducing both packed size and overall weight without sacrificing weather protection. Two Carbon-fiber Easton Syclone 2.0 poles keep the structure light yet strong, and stake-out points at two locations lift the walls to expand interior volume for a more livable sleeping space. The two-pole setup is fully seam-sealed and rated for rain protection, so it can hold its own in stormy conditions. A single-door layout comes paired with a spacious vestibule for stowing gear outside the main living area, and 20D no-see-um mesh on the front door aids airflow. High-low venting further improves breathability throughout the night, making this tent a practical choice for backpackers who prioritize a fast, straightforward pitch and a lighter carry.
