About this product
The North Face Women's Venture 2 Jacket is a lightweight, packable rain shell designed for both urban commutes and outdoor pursuits where weather can change quickly. It is built with 2.5L DryVent technology, delivering waterproof, windproof, and breathable performance, while fully sealed seams prevent moisture from leaking through. The relaxed fit leaves room for layering underneath, and the adjustable hood is sized to fit over a helmet. Ventilation comes from underarm pit-zips, and a Velcro-secured storm flap covers the front zipper for added weather protection. Velcro cuffs at the sleeves help seal out cold air, and a hem cinch-cord allows for a customizable fit. The jacket packs neatly into one of its own secure-zip hand pockets for easy storage and transport. Solid colorways use 100% nylon, while heather versions are 62% nylon and 38% polyester (model NF0A2VCR).

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Venture 2 for its lightweight, packable design and versatility across hiking, travel, and everyday use. The adjustable hood, pit zips, and wide sizing range (XS to 3XL) are frequently highlighted as standout features. Users appreciate its solid wind protection and value for the price. The most common criticisms center on breathability, which falls short of competitors, and performance in heavy rain, where the DryVent material can wet out over extended exposure. Several reviewers also note the fabric feels stiff and crinkly, the hood offers limited face protection, and some long-term users have reported the interior lining degrading with extended wear.
