About this product
The Big Agnes Big House 4-person is a three-season, freestanding car camping tent designed for families and groups who want room to move. Its high-volume domed architecture reaches a standing height of 70 inches (178 cm), and the floor area spans 92 by 90 inches (5.30 square metres), giving occupants genuine living space during extended stays or mid-trip rain delays. The dome shape helps deflect wind for added stability in stormy conditions. Two large doors with dual-slider zippers and storm flaps allow ventilation control, while a full mesh ceiling supports airflow and moisture management. Color-coded webbing and buckles simplify setup, even in low light. Interior organization includes four ceiling pockets and multiple loops for gear lofts and lighting accessories. Pre-cut reflective guylines add nighttime visibility around the campsite. A shelter mode lets you pitch just the fly, poles, and footprint (sold separately) for an open shade structure. The tent packs down to 7 by 16 by 26 inches and weighs 5.70 kg (12 lb 9 oz) total, with a trail weight of 5.24 kg. It comes in Chinois Green and Prairie Sand.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Big Agnes Big House 4 for its spacious, livable interior, with standing headroom and near-vertical walls being a frequent highlight across expert and user reviews. Setup is widely described as easy and intuitive, even for a single person, and the backpack-style stuff sack earns repeated compliments for making packing stress-free. Ventilation is another strong point, with large mesh panels keeping the interior cool and comfortable in warm weather. On the downside, the tent is realistically comfortable for three adults rather than four, a common caveat echoed across sources. The included stakes bend easily and most owners recommend upgrading them immediately. The rainfly's coverage is a recurring criticism, as it leaves the door areas exposed and can allow water entry in heavy rain. Weight (around 12.6 lbs) makes it a car-camping-only option.
