About this product
The Big Agnes Tiger Wall 2 Carbon is a freestanding two-person tent built around Easton carbon fiber poles and Dyneema fiber-based fabrics, combining ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene construction with a packed weight of just 454 grams. Dyneema's welded construction eliminates traditional seams and seam tape entirely, producing a shelter that is 100 percent rainproof with high dimensional stability that resists stretching or sagging across temperature swings. Two doors and two vestibules, each fitted with stormflaps on the vestibule zippers, give occupants flexible entry and exit options, while the dry-entry door design keeps the interior dry during transitions. A single-pole architecture simplifies setup and takedown, and color-coded webbing with buckles further streamlines the process. Double sliders on the vestibule zippers allow venting from the top or bottom, and a low vent on the vestibule doors adds airflow without sacrificing coverage. Structured foot-end corners maximize usable interior space, and an oversize ceiling pocket plus media pockets above the sleeping area handle storage and cord routing. Precut, reflective guylines come attached to the fly. This tent is intended for experienced users and benefits from a compatible footprint to protect the floor.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Big Agnes Tiger Wall 2 Carbon for its extraordinary weight (around 1 lb 6 oz to 1 lb 7 oz), making it one of the lightest double-wall semi-freestanding tents available. Its Dyneema Composite Fabric construction earns high marks for shedding wind, rain, and snow effectively, and the two-door, two-vestibule layout is widely appreciated for livability and gear storage. Setup is considered intuitive for an ultralight shelter. The most common and serious complaint is fragility. Reviewers across expert and user sources repeatedly flag the ultra-thin DCF fly and floor as prone to punctures, tears, and holes, especially without a footprint or on rocky terrain. The high price point is a recurring concern, with many noting it is best suited only for experienced, careful users who prioritize weight above all else. The semi-freestanding design also requires staking, limiting campsite flexibility.
