About this product
The Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL1 Bikepack is a three-season, semi-freestanding, single-person tent designed specifically for on and off-road bikepacking. Its solution-dyed nylon ripstop fly and floor carry a 1200mm waterproof polyurethane coating with fully taped, solvent-free seams (no PVC or VOCs), while the breathable nylon and polyester mesh body keeps weight in check. The trail weight comes in at 1 lb 14 oz (850 g), with a fast-fly setup option dropping that to 1 lb 8 oz (680 g). Inside, the DAC Featherlite NSL pole system with angle hub geometry produces steep walls and a 40-inch head height across a 19 sq ft floor, giving the interior a notably roomy feel for a solo shelter. The 12-inch Shortstik poleset packs down to 5 by 6.5 by 14 inches, making it easy to strap to handlebars or a saddlebag via the burley compression stuff sack with daisy-chain webbing. A single dry-entry door, 5 sq ft vestibule with storm flaps, structured foot-end corners, and a ceiling pocket with media cord routing round out the practical details. Eleven Dirt Dagger stakes and pre-cut reflective guylines are included.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL1 Bikepack for its class-leading low weight, compact packed size, and bikepack-specific design, particularly the shortened poles and daisy-chain stuff sack that make handlebar mounting straightforward. Setup is widely described as quick and intuitive, even in the dark, and the high-volume architecture earns credit for delivering surprisingly generous headroom and interior length for a solo ultralight tent. Weather resistance in three-season conditions is generally rated positively. The most common criticisms center on limited livability: the interior and vestibule feel cramped, the all-mesh inner can be cold and drafty in cooler conditions, and condensation management is noted as a weakness compared to competing designs. Several reviewers flag the thin, lightweight materials as requiring careful handling, and the single-door, inner-first pitching design draws repeated complaints. The premium price is also a recurring concern.
