About this product
The Patagonia Black Hole Daypack 25L is a rugged yet practical everyday carry bag built from 8.7-oz 300-denier 100% postconsumer recycled polyester ripstop, finished with a postindustrial recycled TPU-film laminate for weather resistance. The lining is a 3-oz 200-denier 100% recycled polyester with a PU coating, and all body fabric, webbing, and lining are made from recycled materials. At 640g (22.58 oz), the pack holds 25 liters of gear across a main compartment with a padded sleeve sized for most 15-inch laptops, a zippered internal pocket, a large front stash pocket, a top organizer pocket, and stretch-woven side pockets that accommodate various water-bottle sizes. An airmesh back panel promotes ventilation during carry, while a top-mounted reinforced haul handle and a backpanel pass-through allow the bag to stack onto rolling luggage. A front daisy chain provides external lashing points. The Black Hole Daypack is Fair Trade Certified sewn and carries Bluesign approval for its body fabric.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Patagonia Black Hole Daypack 25L for its impressive durability, lightweight build (around 1 lb), and strong weather resistance, making it a versatile choice for commuting, travel, and light hiking. The clean, streamlined design and thoughtful organization, including a padded 15-inch laptop sleeve and a well-concealed front pocket, earn frequent compliments. Comfort is widely noted, with padded shoulder straps and a contoured back panel. The most common criticisms are the wide, loosely structured water bottle pockets that struggle to secure taller bottles, a shiny or crinkly material appearance when not fully packed, and a laptop sleeve that some find lacks padding and easy access. A few users also flag that the bag does not stand upright on its own when loading, and water resistance in heavy rain has been questioned.
