About this product
The Rab Mythic Ultra Jacket is a women's alpine down jacket engineered around an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, built for alpinists and mountaineers who count every gram. Its core insulation strategy combines offset boxwall baffles at the torso, which allow down to fully loft and minimize cold spots, with lighter stitch-through baffles on the arms and hood for better mobility. An internal TILT heat-reflective scrim, positioned close to the body, reduces radiant heat loss and boosts thermal efficiency on cold belays and high-altitude summits. The ultralight 10D outer shell is made from 100% recycled Pertex Quantum fabric with built-in ripstop, offering a strong, windproof, and weather-protective finish that packs down compactly. Seams are fully sealed, and the jacket earns a rain protection rating of 4 out of 5. A helmet-compatible down-filled hood, two-way YKK VISLON front zip for harness compatibility, precurved articulated sleeves, concealed hand and chest pockets, and a supplied stuff sack round out a thoughtfully refined feature set. Available in Light Zinc, sized XS.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Rab Mythic Ultra Jacket for its exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, calling it one of the warmest and most packable down jackets available. The combination of 900-fill European goose down, offset box-wall baffles, and the heat-reflective TILT lining earns repeated acclaim for delivering below-freezing performance at a surprisingly low weight. The alpine-oriented fit, helmet-compatible hood, articulated sleeves, and harness-friendly two-way zip are also frequently highlighted as well-executed details. The most common criticism is the fragility of the ultralight 10-denier Pertex Quantum face fabric, with some users noting it is prone to tearing and not suited for abrasive terrain or bushwhacking. Down leakage through stitching is occasionally reported. The high price is noted as a barrier, and reviewers agree this jacket is best suited to dry, cold conditions rather than wet or rough environments.
