The Rab Solar Ultra 2 is a women's synthetic sleeping bag rated to -10 degrees Celsius (15 degrees Fahrenheit), designed for three-season alpine use and lightweight backpacking or bikepacking in cold conditions. It weighs 1,095 grams and packs down to 40 cm by 22 cm, making it a genuinely compact option for fast-and-light travel. The upper section uses a triple-layer concertina construction of 100% recycled Stratus Eco insulation (140gsm/140gsm/40gsm), while the base uses a dual-layer arrangement (60gsm/60gsm). A built-in TILT scrim with an aluminium coating reduces radiant heat loss by up to 15 percent without adding meaningful bulk or weight. The outer shell is 20D Atmos recycled polyester ripstop with a fluorocarbon-free DWR finish, and the lining matches it at 41gsm. Elasticated internal quilting draws insulation toward the sleeper to minimize cold air pockets, while offset localised quilting reduces cold spots at stitch lines. A three-quarter-length YKK zip with an insulated baffle, an adjustable neck baffle, and a reduced-volume hood round out the thermal management. Internal shoulder girth measures 142 cm, with a maximum user height of 185 cm. A compression stuff sack is included.
