About this product
The Rab Women's Downpour Jacket (model QWI-07) is a compact, packable waterproof shell built for rain-heavy trail conditions and everyday outdoor use. It is constructed from 2.5-layer Pertex Shield fabric with fully seam-sealed construction, earning strong marks for rain protection while maintaining a reasonable level of breathability. The regular fit hood features a stiffened peak for added face coverage and is easy to adjust on the fly. Ventilation is handled through underarm vents and a YKK front zip with both external and internal storm guards plus a snap closure that allows airflow without compromising weather resistance. Hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs help seal out wind and rain at the wrists, while dual-sided rear hem adjustment lets you fine-tune coverage. Two hand pockets provide convenient storage for small essentials. Available in a Watermelon colorway in size Large, this jacket packs down compactly to minimize bulk in a pack.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Rab Women's Downpour Jacket for its impressive breathability, flexible and comfortable Pertex fabric, and flattering fit that allows easy layering underneath. The hood is widely appreciated for its effective coverage and secure cinching in windy, wet conditions. Many note it punches above its weight as a budget-friendly option, offering solid waterproofing for light to moderate rain and a useful drop hem. The most common criticisms center on mid-level water resistance that can fall short in heavy downpours, and zipper issues, including difficulty operating the main zip one-handed and the zip occasionally catching on its storm flap. Some versions also lack pit zips, which limits ventilation during high-exertion activities.
