The crown is constructed from an 86% nylon, 14% polyester double-weave Supplex ripstop fabric, while the under brim uses a 100% nylon plain weave. A mesh-lined crown paired with external breathable mesh panels and side vents promotes airflow and helps regulate temperature on the trail. The TransAction headband wicks moisture away from the forehead, and the foam-stiffened brim with piped outer edge adds structure and wind resistance. Fit is dialed in via a one-handed drawcord adjustment, and a removable chin cord provides extra security in breezy conditions. The hat is water-resistant and quick-drying, making it well suited to high-sun environments. At just 88 grams, it packs down easily for travel.
